I rang Bronwyn the day after my dad's passing and she invited me to come down to discuss that planning that day. She was very Polite and helpful in guiding us in the right direction.I did a google review and all were very positive comments, and I can only say the same. So glad I chose to use Candlepines. it was simple yet beautiful just the way dad would have wanted. Finding the right Funeral Director was so important to our family with the passing of my father just before Christmas. From the first conversation with Bronwyn (leading up to his death), I felt completely confident that the Candlepines team were the right choice. It was very important to our family that the team we chose to care for Dad after his passing, were respectful and treated him gently and with dignity. We were absolutely delighted with all our experiences: from all the conversations asking lots of questions; to the gentlemen who collected Dad after he passed away - they treated Dad like a member of their family and the care they showed in taking him away was nothing short of signified and a beautiful experience; through to Bronwyn mentioning one of her team having a good chat with Dad while he has prepared for the service, and reminding us to bring socks to 'keep his feet warm'. Having such an amazingly patient, caring and professional team to trust at our most vulnerable time will always be appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. We would not hesitate in recommending Candlepines - a fabulous locally owned family business. I had contacted other businesses, but was extremely disappointed with their response. Candlepines were also very competitive when comparing services and prices - when I asked one large 'franchise' business why their costs were so high (almost double Candlepines), they said it was just their standard pricing. I am so pleased we made the right choice - and while I don't look forward to needing their services again, I certainly know we will return to them when the need arises.

Bronwyn and Phillip went out of their way to help us in a time of need, when other funeral directors insisted we had to wait multiple weeks. We reside in Queensland and my late mother lived her entire life in the western suburbs in Victoria. We were very fortunate to have met Bronwyn and Phillip at Candlepines and commend their professionalism, efficiency and empathy in relation to my late Mother’s arrangements during perhaps the most difficult period of the calendar year between Christmas and New Year.The high degree of compassion, care and diligence shown by Bronwyn and Phillip would never be found in any large national Funeral Director which is one of the primary reasons as to why we selected Candlepines for their genuine and personal service provided to our family, even more important as we reside interstate.A death of a loved one represents a difficult time in any family which can either bring out the best or worse in some families. Both Bronwyn and Phillip were intuitive in this regard and quite adept at handling any situation and were particularly skillful at managing a highly irrational, emotional and obstinate individual family member who created additional unnecessary pain and anguish.On behalf of my family, I am grateful for Bronwyn and Phillip’s support and responsiveness during this difficult time and Candlepines is well known to a number of local catholic parishes in the surrounding area and they are also highly recommended by a number of local Parish priests and I now fully understand and appreciate the reason why.

My sister-in-law died suddenly on a trip to Victoria, with no family members in the state. When I reached out to Candlepines during the evening, Bronwyn took my call personally and immediately swung into action. Other "large" funeral directors either asked me to call back the next day, or dictated when our requested services would be held.Candlepines offered great support and flexibility throughout our bereavement. They liaised with the coroner and the crematorium, arranged a tranquil and tasteful viewing, organised natural products for the funeral gown and restoration, and planned a prompt return of the ashes for repatriation to New Zealand.Bronwyn and Candlepines have our deepest thanks and highest recommendation for their caring and professional approach.

Sadly, we had to organize a funeral for our mother who passed away in November. Unlike birthday parties which happen yearly, it is the one event that you don't get to rehearse. The entire process would have been quite overwhelming if it wasn't for Bronwyn at Candlepines. We contacted Candlepines to arrange for a pre paid funeral both Phillip and Bronwyn we very helpful in advising us of all packages and options and costs that were available. Arranging the funeral in advance was an excellent option for us. When it was time for the funeral arrangements we had a meeting with Bronwyn she was so kind considerate and sympathetic. Bronwyn arranged for the memorial cards the flowers and pointed us in the right direction to arrange the photo gallery and music that we had chosen. This was the second time I had organised a funeral with Candlepines, first for my mum and then my dad. I always found Bronwyn to be compasssionate, helpful and professional as she guided me through the process. I would recommend their services, nothing was too much trouble.

When my sister -in-law passed away, I searched up google and came across Candlepins. They efficiency, professionalism, care and kind words assisted my family to be organized and went through the process calmly and smoothly . Even when the body was transferred down to NSW, I was still getting messages of advice, care and assistance,I would not been able to do what I did without they assistance. Above and Beyond, Thoughtful, Very Caring and Loving.My sister- in- law went to be with the Lord on 17th October 2022. My family would highly recommend them.

Extremely grateful for Bronwyn helped at a very sad time. My younger brother passed away unexpectedly. I contacted a couple of places to get help to pay for the cremation. To my horror they wanted you to jump through hoops, to be able to receive help. Candlepines was very reasonable, and professional. I didn't have all the trimmings,which lower the cost. Such an amazing experience and service. From pre-planning my pa’s funeral and then meeting up after he passed away and the kindness and understanding through Candlepines and then the viewing and day of the funeral was just perfect, no words to explain how difficult the day was but candlepines just was so supportive through it all

After mum passed away we weren’t sure who to use or what happened next - death admin - people called it ! It was a very difficult time but once we found Candlepines funeral services we felt relieved as they were so helpful and very professional. Mum had a very simple quick burial and with Bronwyn’s help she was laid to rest with ease and comfort for all concerned, and the flowers were just beautiful. We highly recommend Bronwyn of Candlepines Funeral Services. Bronwyn sympathetically guided us through the entire funeral arrangements at a time of high anxiety for our family, without fuss. Bronwyn always followed through on what she said she would do and she went the extra mile to arrange a viewing with little notice.

Thank you very much for the well organise arrangements done for my dad funeral at the chapel. My family members in Singapore told me the mass was simple but very beautiful service with the perfect music selected especially the 1st and 3rd was very touching and emotional. We totally recommend Candlepines to take care of all your funeral requirements during such a difficult time. We did not have to worry about anything after arrangements had been made after the passing of our Mother, in May this year. We found Bronwyn and Phillip to be caring, sensative, compassionate and totally professional in their dealings at this time.
