Finding the right Funeral Director was so important to our family with the passing of my father just before Christmas. From the first conversation with Bronwyn (leading up to his death), I felt completely confident that the Candlepines team were the right choice. It was very important to our family that the team we chose to care for Dad after his passing, were respectful and treated him gently and with dignity. We were absolutely delighted with all our experiences: from all the conversations asking lots of questions; to the gentlemen who collected Dad after he passed away - they treated Dad like a member of their family and the care they showed in taking him away was nothing short of signified and a beautiful experience; through to Bronwyn mentioning one of her team having a good chat with Dad while he has prepared for the service, and reminding us to bring socks to 'keep his feet warm'. Having such an amazingly patient, caring and professional team to trust at our most vulnerable time will always be appreciated from the bottom of our hearts. We would not hesitate in recommending Candlepines - a fabulous locally owned family business. I had contacted other businesses, but was extremely disappointed with their response. Candlepines were also very competitive when comparing services and prices - when I asked one large 'franchise' business why their costs were so high (almost double Candlepines), they said it was just their standard pricing. I am so pleased we made the right choice - and while I don't look forward to needing their services again, I certainly know we will return to them when the need arises.
