Here at Candlepines, we like to offer a different approach, and our families will notice this when they talk to our funeral directors. Moonee Ponds families can expect a practical and caring approach, from a family who have been taking care of families for over fifteen years.
One of the ways we suggest to ease the stress of funeral planning, is through taking practical organisational steps in a pre-arranged funeral plan. If no pre-arranged plan is in place, then we do our best to support you in an overwhelming time, by seeing to the details, and offering the support of a qualified bereavement support worker.
Funerals are such important occasions. Please read about the experiences we have helped other families create to honour their loved ones.

On behalf of my family ,I want to thank-you both for the kind and sensitive way you helped us through this very sad time. The funeral was just as Dad would have wished. I also know that he would have loved the beautiful blue flowers that you creatively arranged for him. A lovely touch !Phil & Bronwyn many thanks Eileen Hesse.
By using our years of experience to guide and support bereaved families, we allow our families to grieve in their own way, and to plan meaningful funeral services. We will assist you when planning a service at a venue of your choice that holds special significance, or at our funeral home. Moonee Ponds families may choose to hold a small, yet meaningful church service in our Candlelight Chapel, or a larger religious or non-religious gathering at another venue.
Our funeral directors can preside as celebrants for a chapel gathering at Candlepines Funeral Home. Moonee Ponds families can also choose to have their own civil celebrant to conduct the service.
There will be certain requirements for a funeral service, burial, or cremation, but once these have been met, you are able to tailor a service in any number of unique ways that will make it meaningful, as you lay your loved one to rest and say a final farewell.
Floral arrangements offer one way to personalise a chapel or other gathering space – filling it with your loved one’s favourite colours, love of nature, or even the colours that represent their beloved sporting team.
To make a pre-arranged funeral plan, families can talk to our funeral directors. Moonee Ponds families can also contact Phillip and Bronwyn to enquire about holding a service at our funeral home, or at another location with our support.
